MCI Careers is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our executive management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of professional accounting work, including compiling, preparing, and maintaining data and records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
  • Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions.
  • Enter AP bills and credit card transactions as needed.
  • Perform month-end closing and reconciliation.
  • Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting information.
  • Perform bank reconciliation.
  • Support department peers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1-2 years of accrual basis accounting working experience, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing, and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully plan, organize, and manage projects.
  • Detail-oriented, excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, organized, able to prioritize, and work independently.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
