We are currently seeking skilled individuals for the role of Unmanned Aerial Systems Operator. This position involves operating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) remotely piloted vehicles (RPVs), ground control stations, and various payloads. Operators will be responsible for gathering intelligence to inform mission planning, constructing and modifying COTS remote-controlled vehicles, and configuring flight controllers for waypoint missions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct operations of COTS RPVs in various environments.
  • Gather and analyze intelligence data to support mission objectives.
  • Fabricate and modify remote-controlled vehicles as required.
  • Configure and program flight controllers for automated missions.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in instructing personnel in military settings.
  • Familiarity with COTS multi-rotor and fixed-wing aircraft, including hobbyist UAS.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a Certified FAA UAS PART 107 Pilot License.
  • Experience with various RPVs (land, air, and sea) and capability to design and fabricate with minimal guidance.
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications and intelligence-related automation tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.

Education and Experience

  • Junior Level: BA/BS with 0-3 years of experience or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Journeyman Level: BA/BS with 3-10 years of experience or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Extensive experience with Group 2+/3 UAS platforms.
  • Manned pilot experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret sectional and aeronautical charts.
  • Experience in communication with Air Traffic Control.
  • Knowledge of UAS components and flight control software.
