Job Summary

This role is for a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the engineering team for the LM2500 engine line. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing requirements, developing engineering plans, and leading the team through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor global design teams and hold them accountable to deliverables
  • Support design reviews and drive technical excellence throughout the organization
  • Drive root cause and containment for field issues and develop expertise around unique design differences
  • Support engine assembly by quickly resolving technical issues and determine instrumentation requirements for the engine
  • Execute overall engine test plans and ensure proper use of engineering standard tools and adherence to GE Toll Gate process
  • Support other GE businesses, internal and external customers, and suppliers as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced engine design or engine systems integration

Desired Characteristics:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering position
  • Systems Engineering experience with GTEs and engine test experience with GTEs
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage projects and operational process
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to guide and influence others
