Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Energy)

Harrison Consulting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer (Energy) to join our team in Columbus. As a key member of our energy efficiency team, you will be responsible for leading energy audits, identifying opportunities for energy efficiency, and developing strategies to reduce energy consumption.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead energy audits of buildings and identify potential energy efficiency opportunities
  • Develop and implement energy efficiency strategies to reduce energy consumption
  • Conduct energy modeling and analysis to determine energy baseline and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Calculate utility and operational savings, and generate financial analysis reports
  • Assist with building energy modeling duties, including data collection and organization
  • Identify ways to quantify energy consumption and savings opportunities through analyzing building utility bills
  • Build and maintain client relationships to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Provide technical sales support and coordination to drive business growth
  • Coordinate and present concepts and preliminary technical findings to clients and stakeholders
  • Mentor and train junior staff to develop their skills and expertise
  • Travel may be required to conduct site visits and meet with clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the energy efficiency industry, including energy engineering and energy modeling
  • PE License preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC industry, lighting, and Building Automation System (BAS) controls
  • Knowledge of design and energy simulation software, such as Revit, Energy Gauge, and IES VE
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) certification preferred
  • LEED AP with specialty preferred
