Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Admitting Worker to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in our ambulatory clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a warm and welcoming experience
  • Perform general clerical and reception duties, including data entry and verification of patient information
  • Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments with accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilize office equipment and technology to support patient care and administrative tasks
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or administrative setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese
  • Experience working in a hospital or medical office setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance programs
