Radar Systems Technician

Range Generation Next LLC is seeking a skilled Radar Systems Technician to join our team at Pillar Point Air Force Station near Half Moon Bay, CA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining radar systems, performing maintenance and troubleshooting, and ensuring the safe and successful launch of Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space launch rockets.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain radar systems, including pedestal, high power transmitter, signal generators, and heat exchangers
- Perform maintenance, equipment/system status reporting, configuration control, and logistics duties in accordance with the Integrated Organizational and Depot Maintenance Plan (IODMP) and related LISC Operating Instructions (LOI)
- Calibrate high power transmitter for correct frequencies, pulse widths, shapes, and power levels
- Review, update, and execute all critical launch documentation, including Operations Directives (ODs), Range Safety Operational Requirements (RSOR), Integrated Countdown Document (ICD), and Data Distribution Listing (DDL)
- Troubleshoot electronic hardware to component level and perform repairs in accordance with technical orders, maintenance manuals, and schematics
- Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, and specialty RF test equipment in support of maintenance and troubleshooting
- Perform daily operations and launch support activities according to standardized checklists and work instructions
- Adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to job site safety and security
- Associate's degree or two-year certificate from college or technical school with related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training
- Two years related technician experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
- Proficient in Radio Frequency and Digital diagnostic troubleshooting
