Autonomous Systems Technician

Key Responsibilities:

As an Autonomous Systems Technician at Waabi, you will play a critical role in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of autonomous hardware systems, including sensors, communication modules, and control systems. You will work closely with engineers to conduct tests on autonomous systems in both bench and stationary environments, collect and analyze data, and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the testing process.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a technician, preferably in the automotive, robotics, marine, or aerospace industries.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other technical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • ASE or other relevant certifications are a plus (IPC620 certification is highly desirable).
  • Experience working with Class 8 trucks or heavy vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving systems, sensors, and vehicle control modules is a plus.
