About the Role

The Materials Program Manager will oversee day-to-day materials management between our supply base and vendors, ensuring materials are available as per schedule. This role involves close coordination with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement groups, as well as our supply chain partners. The ideal candidate is experienced in strategic planning and tactical problem-solving regarding NPI & volume production materials supply.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage materials plans, including readiness, availability, and visibility, to support new product introduction (NPI) engineering builds.
  • Engage with component vendors for part procurement, including lead times, schedules, logistics, pricing, and documentation.
  • Design and monitor CTB templates for PCBA and final assembly product levels.
  • Collaborate with contract manufactures using CTB.
  • Identify and track supply chain risks, develop risk mitigation plans, and report status versus plan.
  • Participate in configuration management and build matrix development as part of NPI engineering prototype build planning.
  • Work with engineering on BOMs, ECOs, and change implementation planning and execution.
  • Propose and support NPI materials planning workflows and continuous process improvements.
  • Manage excess and obsolete materials inventories in-house and with our supply chain partners.
  • Support day-to-day materials incoming and outgoing transactions for the hardware operations group.

About You

We're looking for a highly skilled Materials Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has a BA/BS degree, preferably in a technical field, and 5+ years of experience in supply chain management within hardware engineering development and production environments. You should have experience working in an NPI/engineering environment, interacting with engineers, and familiarity with MRP and PDM systems and methodologies. You should also be able to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously, have polished communication skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
