Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Respiratory Therapy RRT to join our team at HCA Florida South Shore Hospital. As a key member of our Respiratory Department, you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to our respiratory care team, ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the respiratory care team, ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care.
  • Ensure departmental policies and procedures meet legal and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Conduct respiratory assessments of patients as indicated within scope of practice.
  • Administer medications to the respiratory system and perform various clinical modalities as prescribed by physician order, in accordance with current practice.
Requirements
  • Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree or equivalent); Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years in clinical respiratory therapy in an acute hospital environment, with one year of supervisory experience.
  • Current Florida license as RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist).
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required.
