Respiratory Therapist RRT

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at HCA Florida South Shore Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and developing and implementing respiratory care plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities- Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation
- Maintain department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer
- Perform procedures with care and empathy for patients
- Evaluate patient respiratory needs and develop and implement respiratory care plans
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patient response to therapy and notify provider as needed
- Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
- American Heart Association BLS health care provider certification
- Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills
HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138-bed community hospital providing care to the residents of Hillsborough and Manatee County. We have been recognized by the Joint Commission for heart failure, sepsis, stroke, and total hip and knee. We have an American College of Radiology accreditation in CT, mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound.
