Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Management: Design and implement a dynamic, welcoming environment that encourages play, learning, and growth.

Administrative Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:
  • Recruit and hire exceptional talent, ensuring the center is staffed with high-performing educators.
  • Manage staffing effectively; approve final work schedules to maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios.
  • Project future enrollment based on annual trends.
  • Oversee center inventory, including supplies, food, and educational materials.
  • Manage vendor relationships, coordinating maintenance and technology support.
  • In collaboration with the Center Director, lead team meetings to share important updates and set strategic direction.
Customer Engagement:
  • Implement marketing initiatives within the center and execute local outreach activities.
  • Utilize social media effectively to engage parents and enhance retention.
  • Guide prospective families through the enrollment process, conducting tours and following up to secure enrollments.
  • Lead center tours, showcasing key features and maintaining strong connections with potential clients.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of local childcare offerings.
  • Maintain the lead tracking system and customer database.
  • Coordinate the registration process and manage customer and employee records.
  • Handle communications with families, including billing and newsletters.
  • Plan and oversee the budget for family engagement activities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership skills with at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a childcare environment.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Educational Requirements: Must comply with state-specific guidelines for the role. High School Diploma/GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience: Significant experience in a childcare setting with a focus on classroom leadership. A strong passion for early childhood education is essential.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Must adhere to state-specific guidelines for the position.
  • Meet state and federal requirements, including performance standards, immunizations, and necessary health and safety training.
  • Caregiving Competencies:
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate potential risks in a childcare setting.
  • Ensure children's safety and meet their daily needs, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Encourage positive social skills, including effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Keep children actively engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Exhibit patience, professionalism, and composure at all times.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to reach, stretch, climb, and maintain alertness to perform essential job functions.
