Program Coordinator for STEPS PATH Program

The STEPS PATH Coordinator is a part-time position that reports directly to the Visual Impairment Program Faculty Chair. The Coordinator is responsible for planning and assisting with overseeing two weekend and a one week summer retreat for teens who are blind and visually impaired. This includes designing and collecting student applications, setting up hotel/dorm lodging, and coordinating activities and meals. Experience with children and/or blindness and visual impairment is preferred. The Coordinator must be self-motivated and have strong computer skills using Microsoft and Google. Good communication skills are essential when working with other PATH staff, as well as with students and their parents/guardians. The ability to drive/transport students in a minivan or 15-passenger van is preferred. The Coordinator must be able to attend the fall and spring weekend retreat (location varies within Kentucky), as well as the week-long program in July at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Lodging and meals are provided during the program.
