Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pattern Repair Specialist to join our team at QPS Employment Group. As a Pattern Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of production patterns, as well as performing repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up production patterns for efficient use
  • Apply date codes to patterns as required for tracking and inventory purposes
  • Organize and maintain pattern storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and accessibility
  • Repair damaged pattern gating, risers, impressions, or sprue areas to maintain pattern integrity
  • Add filter blocks to existing patterns to enhance performance
  • Build and/or mount 3D printed gating systems on pattern plates to improve efficiency
  • Verify accurate location of sprue for optimal pattern performance
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools, drills, saws, and accurate measuring for precise locations of gating, risers, and sprues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to initiate, organize, and prioritize work
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds, less frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, and walk
  • Required to stand for the entire production shift and must use their hands constantly to perform this job
