Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Replenishment professional at Ganahl Lumber Company, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring efficient replenishment of inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets customers as they enter the store and provides assistance with locating products.
  • Processes customer orders and ensures accurate and timely replenishment of products.
  • Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies and resolves issues in a professional manner.
  • Handles customer complaints or issues with empathy and aims for a positive resolution.
  • Processes returns and exchanges according to store policy.
  • Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with the supply chain team to restock products as needed.
  • Assists customers in resolving complaints or providing information.
  • Bags, boxes, and wraps purchased items.
  • Maintains proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • The ability to read, write, understand, and relay written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
  • Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.
  • Knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
  • Six months of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires prolonged periods of standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
  • Must be in adequate physical condition to perform requirements such as mental, physical and manual dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception and any other physical attributes that enable the employee to perform the job safely according to all Company, Local, State, and Federal regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Must wear prescribed personal protective equipment when handling material or operating equipment.
