About the Role

Amazon's Marketplace services are revolutionizing the retail landscape, connecting millions of businesses and customers worldwide. As a Business Analyst on the Seller Fulfillment Services (SFS) team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of SFS Business by leveraging strong analytics and deep dives.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing scalable data warehouse infrastructure, building dynamic visualization platforms, and developing efficient data engineering pipelines. Advanced techniques, such as scripting languages and statistical modeling, will also be essential in driving complex insights analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interfacing with business customers to gather requirements and develop complex analytics models and datasets
  • Identifying data quality issues across various platforms at Amazon
  • Extracting and combining data from heterogeneous sources
  • Designing and building data visualization tools for scalable self-service metrics reporting
  • Partnering with analysts and engineers to build analytical solutions for business goals
  • Proposing and implementing new business metrics for senior management reviews

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
  • 5+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots) and data visualization tools like Tableau
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with ambiguous business problems and defining analytical solutions
  • Experience with AWS services, including S3, Redshift, EMR, and RDS
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as R, Python, and statistical modeling

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
