Powers Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registration Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Greets and assists patients and visitors, ascertaining their needs and directing them accordingly.
- Registers patients in accordance with established standards and policies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is documented in the computer and chart.
- Performs all front office duties, including check-in functions, verifying patient information, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments.
- Ensures the accuracy and completeness of patient records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborates with healthcare staff to resolve patient concerns and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stays up-to-date with changing policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Previous experience with electronic medical record systems and Windows-based desktop applications is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance, and managed care plans is required.
- CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge is a plus.
