Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Development Services Team in creating, revising, and delivering technical documentation and client-related materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of technologies, products, and documentation needs.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that adheres to established standards and meets the needs of the target audience.
  • Develop and refine user-friendly tutorials to facilitate the operation of various applications.
  • Evaluate existing and potential content to identify opportunities for reuse and single-sourcing.
  • Support the upkeep of the information architecture.

Qualifications for Success:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional writing/editing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of technical research, writing, and editing principles.
  • Ability to research complex technical subjects and convey information clearly to a diverse audience.
  • Apply technical writing concepts based on engineering documentation and consultations with subject matter experts.
  • Innovative thinking to meet business needs effectively.
  • Adaptability to evolving business and client requirements.
  • Strong time management skills to deliver high-quality products within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in various word-processing and desktop publishing software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with technical writing related to AI/ML capabilities.
  • Prior experience with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) documentation.
  • Familiarity with NGA and mission partners.
  • Maintain an organized internal documentation library.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of technical professionals.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of NGA and its Mission Partners or within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Advanced understanding of system design and analysis.
  • Knowledge of complex systems configuration and programming.
  • Experience in developing infographics and synthesizing new technology information.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile and SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience with markdown and web-enabled content.
