Job Summary

GAI Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Power Business Unit's Civil and Environmental Engineering Business Sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and facilitating civil engineer project design tasks, including site grading and drainage design, access road design, and stormwater management design.

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from planning and design to construction and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plans, designs, and facilitates civil engineer project design tasks, including site grading and drainage design, access road design, and stormwater management design.
  • Performs technical and feasibility studies, collaborating with other professionals and discussing requirements with team members.
  • Uses computer programs to develop detailed designs, ensuring that work products meet client, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Performs work with minimal guidance and supervision, handling complex issues and referring only the most complex issues to more experienced staff.
  • Possesses strong working knowledge of civil engineering design tasks and a positive attitude, with strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and analysis modules.
  • Mentor, guide, and check the work of less experienced staff, demonstrating strong team collaboration, oral and written communication, design expertise, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
  • 4+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Strong working knowledge of civil engineering design tasks, including site grading and drainage design, access road design, and stormwater management design.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
