Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review detailed engineering designs and plans to ensure they meet technical and safety standards.
  • Manage and oversee various engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct site inspections and analyze data to plan and design projects.
  • Assess potential risks, materials, and costs to provide feasibility reports for each project.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure all projects adhere to established plans and regulations.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for managing stormwater, septic/sewer systems, and drainage.
  • Coordinate with government departments and agencies regarding regulatory issues.
  • Provide technical advice to managerial, supervisory, and operational staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project management, engineering design, drainage, grading, stormwater, septic/sewer systems, and drainage.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and best practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of managing complex engineering projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
