Job Summary

The Eastside Union School District seeks a highly skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to provide consultation, coaching, and support to teachers and staff in implementing effective instructional and behavioral strategies for students with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and coaching to teachers and staff on implementing evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies for students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of district-wide initiatives to support students with special needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or Mental Health.
  • Credential in Education Instructional Specialist, School Psychologist, or Counselor with behavioral experience.
  • Three years of successful experience teaching special education or providing related special education services, including behavioral services.

  • Pupil Personnel Services Credential - School Psychology (Specialized - Behavior Analyst)
  • Pupil Personnel Services Credential - School Counseling (with Behavioral Experience)
  • Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate
