About the Role

Mill Rock Packaging is seeking a skilled Gluer Operator to join our team at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating our folder/gluer machines to produce high-quality cartons that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the feeder unit for production and run initial quantities to demonstrate production capability.
  • Operate the folder/gluer machine to fold and glue various types of folding cartons.
  • Read and respond to scheduling software to define machine set-up and ensure efficient production.
  • Assist with all associated set-up tasks as directed by the Folder Operator.
  • Perform quality checks and report deficiencies to the Finishing Manager.
  • Maintain machine work records and update them in a timely manner.
  • Monitor equipment status and brief the Finishing Manager as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with folding equipment or training.
  • Paperboard folding carton industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to changing priorities.
Work Environment

The Gluer Operator will work in a fast-paced production environment with moderate to loud noise levels. The employee will be required to stand for 8+ hours and regularly lift/or move 45 pounds.
