Job Description/Responsibilities

The Market Development Representative (MDR) On-Premise role is a key position in Sazerac's sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with On-Premise outlets, such as bars, restaurants, and hotels, to grow revenue and profit for Sazerac brands.

The MDR will interact with owners and managers of these establishments to understand their needs and develop solutions to drive sales and growth. This will involve:

  • Creating and managing solutions to grow assigned accounts business
  • Building brands by utilizing consumer and category trends to educate customers and maximize sales
  • Collaborating with wholesaler partners to support in-outlet selling and execution
  • Planning and implementing programs to deliver volume, distribution, and execution KPIs
  • Developing mutually valuable relationships with assigned customers
  • Serving as the communication lead between key customers, wholesalers, and internal teams
  • Monitoring agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) with key customers
Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience, or for new college graduates, a sales internship or full/part-time sales role (preferably in consumer goods)
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Willingness to Travel
  • Must be able to obtain a relevant solicitor's permit in any state
  • Candidate must reside in or near the territory
  • Must be able to personally pay or charge ordinary and necessary business expenses that will be timely reimbursed
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate will need to be able to:

  • Stand for an extended period of time
  • Pick up and/or move objects up to 35 pounds without assistance
  • Ascend or descend stairs
  • Drive and visit multiple accounts in one day

Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position. The salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel or cell phone reimbursement.

Minimum: USD $65,000.00/Yr

Maximum: USD $91,000.00/Yr
