Wound Care Specialist

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Utilize the nursing process to plan, provide, and evaluate patient care.
* Perform initial and ongoing patient assessment according to hospital/unit standards and patient care needs.
* Develop, initiate, and resolve individualized Plans of Care according to unit standards.
* Deliver nursing care following Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission rules and regulations, current nursing practice standards, and hospital policies.
* Maintain standards for quality care through specific professional nursing organization standards.
* Administer medication within licensure and TRIOS HEALTH policies.
* Delegate selected nursing functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
* Supervise those to whom tasks have been delegated, monitoring for completion and documentation.
* Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.
* Assess patient condition based on age and developmental status.
* Identify and plan age/development appropriate nursing interventions.
* Implement plans and provide age-appropriate care as described in the department/unit policies and procedures.
* Complete chart documentation on nursing unit as required by hospital standards.
* Participate in hourly rounding in assigned department.
* Ensure necessary consents are obtained for procedures initiated in the unit.
**Qualifications and Requirements:**
* Associate's degree in nursing
* Bachelor's degree - Preferred
