Position Overview

As an Early Childhood Educator at Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater, you will play a vital role in nurturing young minds as they explore and understand their surroundings.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled educator to design and execute a continuous program of activities that foster the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child, aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning philosophy.

Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater is a distinguished private preschool offering exceptional educational childcare services. We provide year-round programs for children from infancy through elementary school age.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations and supervision of a group of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines established by Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater and relevant local, state, or national agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
  • Continuously evaluate each child's developmental needs.
  • Execute approved lesson plans and maintain the daily classroom schedule in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with a member of the Leadership Team to organize parent-teacher conferences and student assessments.
  • Maintain an engaging and well-organized classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and set clear expectations for children's behavior.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared spaces, and outdoor areas.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in additional duties as determined necessary by the Director or designated personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Must fulfill the basic requirements set by the local childcare regulatory agency.
  • Prior experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children and in emergency situations, including lifting infants in and out of cribs.
  • High School Diploma or higher, or relevant experience in early childhood education.
