Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations and supervision of a classroom of children.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Continuously assess and address each child's developmental needs.
  • Execute lesson plans and maintain the daily schedule in alignment with our educational philosophy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to organize parent-teacher meetings and evaluate student progress.
  • Create and maintain an inviting classroom environment that promotes exploration and creativity.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and establish clear behavioral expectations for children.
  • Manage classroom upkeep and shared spaces to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Adhere to professional appearance standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Assist in various tasks as determined by the Director or designated personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Must meet the basic criteria set by local childcare regulatory agencies.
  • Prior experience in a licensed early childhood education setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety and program facilitation.
  • High school diploma or relevant experience preferred for Infant - Preschool Assistant Teachers.
