Position Overview

As an Early Childhood Educator at Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater, you will play a vital role in nurturing young learners as they explore and comprehend their surroundings.

We are in search of a dedicated and passionate educator to design and execute a continuous program of activities that foster the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child, aligning with the Primrose Balanced Learning methodology.

Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater is a recognized private preschool that offers an exceptional educational childcare experience. We provide year-round programs for children ranging from infants to elementary school age.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations and supervision of a classroom of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater and relevant local, state, or national agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
  • Continuously evaluate each child's developmental requirements.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with a member of the Leadership Team to organize parent-teacher conferences and student assessments.
  • Maintain an inviting and well-organized classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and clear expectations for children's behavior.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance in line with the Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in additional tasks as determined necessary by the Director or designated personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Must fulfill the basic requirements of the local childcare regulatory agency.
  • Prior experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and handling of children, including lifting infants in and out of cribs when necessary.
  • High School Diploma or higher, or relevant experience in early childhood education.
