Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and supervision of a classroom of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by Primrose School and relevant regulatory bodies regarding child health, safety, and care.
  • Continuously evaluate each child's developmental progress.
  • Assist in executing the established lesson plans and daily schedules aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to organize parent-teacher meetings and student assessments.
  • Maintain a welcoming and well-organized classroom environment that encourages creativity and decision-making among children.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and set clear expectations for children's behavior.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom and shared spaces.
  • Participate in mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Uphold a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose School guidelines.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned by the Director or designated personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet the basic requirements set by local child care regulatory agencies.
  • Prior experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood education setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children and in emergency situations.
  • A high school diploma or higher is required.
