Job Summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient-Centered Care: Deliver age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Education and Communication: Educate patients and families on their treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions, promoting effective communication and understanding.
  • Information Collection and Communication: Collect and document patient information, communicating effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participation in Healthcare Service Delivery: Participate in the delivery of healthcare services, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Patient Advocacy and Supervision: Advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and needs are respected, and oversee unlicensed personnel to ensure they are providing high-quality care.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia is required.
  • Additional Requirements: Must be able to obtain ACLS certification.
