OCEANAIR Inc. is seeking a skilled Import Agent II to join our dynamic team in Peabody, Massachusetts. The Import Agent II will play a crucial role in efficiently coordinating and overseeing import shipments, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all necessary documentation for Customs entry.
- Ensure timely payments are processed prior to shipment, adhering to company protocols.
- Verify incoming goods against documentation to confirm accuracy and condition.
- Review manifests, invoices, and orders for correct recording of shipments.
- Facilitate the release and transportation of received goods to the designated importer or delivery point.
- Maintain positive client relationships through exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in forwarding, logistics, or distribution operations.
- Familiarity with CargoWise is a plus.
- Strong geographical knowledge to support global freight movement.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
