OCEANAIR Inc. is seeking a skilled Import Agent II to join our dynamic team in Peabody, Massachusetts. The Import Agent II will play a crucial role in efficiently coordinating and overseeing import shipments, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all necessary documentation for Customs entry.
  • Ensure timely payments are processed prior to shipment, adhering to company protocols.
  • Verify incoming goods against documentation to confirm accuracy and condition.
  • Review manifests, invoices, and orders for correct recording of shipments.
  • Facilitate the release and transportation of received goods to the designated importer or delivery point.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in forwarding, logistics, or distribution operations.
  • Familiarity with CargoWise is a plus.
  • Strong geographical knowledge to support global freight movement.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong numerical aptitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
