HealthEcareers - Client is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Specialist. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and a strong background in patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical and psychosocial health status, and develop individualized plans of care to address their needs.
- Implementation and Evaluation: Implement and evaluate the plan of care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that their needs are met.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients and families on health and wellness topics, and assist with discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
- Leadership and Professional Development: Participate in leadership and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, and contribute to the development of clinical practice guidelines and policies.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Certification and Licensing: Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods and procedures, and health and safety guidelines and procedures. Excellent patient experience skills, ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems, and ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Experience in PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care: Previous experience in PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care is highly preferred.
- Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Education and Training: Education and training in a related field, such as nursing education or healthcare management, is highly preferred.
