Job Title: Staff Nurse - PreOp/PACU

University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care (PACU) department. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to work in our PreOp/PACU department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patients' physical and psychosocial health status
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a PreOp/PACU setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
