Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months to 1 year of experience working in the PACU unit in a hospital setting or surgery center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing healthcare needs, and developing individualized nursing and healthcare plans.
Responsibilities- Comply with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures
- Provide general care services relating to PACU care
- Assess healthcare needs of patients through routine assessments and develop individualized nursing and healthcare plans
- Perform health screenings of patients or clients
- Respond to emergency healthcare needs of patients or clients
- Administer medications/treatments as prescribed by medical practitioners
- Maintain confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility, and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Comply with accepted ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent nursing organization
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program of study
- Current and unencumbered license in the state of practice
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Background screening as required by the state or contract
- The RN should be able to read medical equipment and documents
- Pushing carts and medical equipment may be a component of the job
- Registered Nurses must be able to lift at least 30 pounds; walk up and down the stairs; position patients; walk long distances; and stand for prolonged periods
