As a Cosmetic Sales Specialist, also referred to as a Beauty Consultant, your primary role is to cater to the beauty requirements of our clientele to enhance sales performance.

You are both a product specialist and a beauty aficionado, dedicated to making our customers feel radiant and self-assured. Your focus is on cultivating a loyal customer base and fostering strong relationships to achieve sales objectives. You are open to innovation, utilizing fresh selling strategies, and are adept at engaging with customers through virtual channels and phone communication. Your responsibilities include providing personalized consultations, which may involve applying makeup and demonstrating products.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build rapport with customers by introducing them to beauty products and uncovering their unique needs
- Demonstrate and educate on the application of all beauty products directly on customers
- Maintain proper display, organization, storage, and restocking of inventory
- Utilize our clientele program to connect with customers, meet sales targets, inform them about promotions and product launches, and enroll them in our rewards program
- Participate in pre-selling and sales-enhancing events to boost sales and achieve personal sales goals
- Stay updated with all training through Macy's educational resources, including attending vendor training and virtual sessions as required
- Merchandise new arrivals, process damages, testers, and select merchandise for vendor returns
- Employ point of sale technology and applications to assist in selling and fulfilling customer orders
- Adhere to hygiene standards and asset protection control and compliance procedures

A solid understanding of the beauty products you represent is essential, enabling you to provide expert advice to customers based on their preferences and choices.

**Sales Skills:**
- Ability to establish relationships with customers, meet sales goals, and engage in pre-selling and sales-boosting activities.

**Technology Proficiency:**
- Utilize point of sale technology and applications to facilitate sales and fulfill customer orders.

**Makeup Application Expertise:**
- Demonstrate and instruct customers on the use of all beauty products through direct application.

**Subject Matter Expertise:**
- In-depth knowledge of vendor lines and beauty trends, serving as a reliable resource in this domain.

**Collaboration:**
- Work closely with the entire Beauty team to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

You should possess a passion for the beauty industry and a business-oriented mindset to thrive in a performance-driven environment.

**Availability:**
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Previous experience in cosmetic or fragrance sales is advantageous.

You should be prepared for prolonged periods of standing or walking throughout the store or department and frequently using computers and handheld electronic devices.
