Job Summary

The Pharmacy Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy automation systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, including knowledge of hardware and software systems, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple areas of the pharmacy, identifying and addressing overstock and shortage issues.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff and buyers to ensure timely ordering and receipt of inventory, and to facilitate communication regarding stock levels and requisitions.
  • Provide direction and support to technicians involved in daily cabinet fill and inspection operations, and ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate recall communication and ensure completion of all daily automation and inventory operational tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of generic and brand medication names, Central Pharmacy operations, and inventory management.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, recall, and wholesaler software programs.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Registered or eligible for licensure with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician upon hire. Must obtain Pharmacy Technician certification within 9 months of hire.
