Job Overview

Position Summary

The Regional Inventory Assessment Specialist is tasked with conducting thorough physical inventory counts, generating detailed departmental audit reports, reconciling discrepancies between digital records and actual counts, and identifying errors for reporting. This role collaborates closely with various departments to enhance inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.

Compensation: $16-17/hr


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive accounting reviews at the retail level during inventory assessments; work alongside District and Store Managers to pinpoint operational challenges.
  • Create an initial audit timetable for the region, incorporating a rotation of neighboring stores.
  • Support Store Managers with invoice inquiries, store layout, pricing modifications, and any irregularities identified in the system.
  • Perform a visual inspection checklist at each location, noting store conditions, maintenance needs, safety issues, promotional activities, and loss prevention measures.
  • Complete 15-20 retail inventory assessments monthly, including lottery audits, data entry for processing, and preparation of audit documentation, reports, and necessary uploads/scans.
  • Meet established average per hour (APH) counting targets while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of collected data.
  • Adapt to various work environments, with potential exposure to temperature extremes.
  • Communicate information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, fostering cooperation and partnership.
  • Proactively explore and propose innovative strategies that could enhance job performance and organizational efficiency, maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of urgency.
  • Complete additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Fulfill all other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, and lift products weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive motions requiring the use of both wrists and hands with counting equipment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Open Office.
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Commitment to a 40-50 hour workweek, with daily travel to various locations.
  • Access to reliable transportation for conducting audits across the designated market.
