Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with researchers and team members to gather requirements and design software solutions
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion
  • Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software to meet the needs of our applications
  • Communicate software designs and tools through documentation and design reviews
  • Work with software engineers and product owners to design and develop software solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience, including a high level of skill and experience with Python
  • Proficiency in typical software engineering disciplines, including testing, error-handling, readability, documentation, and general code health
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment and experience with data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are expected

Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary: $112,000 to $143,500.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Work will normally be performed in an office and laboratory environment and around technical equipment, including computers and lasers. Able to sit, stand, bend, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds without assistance. Able to efficiently use automated office equipment, such as laptops, copiers, and printers, and effectively engage in communications via phone, computer, or in-person. Any required Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and must be properly used in accordance with company requirements.
