Job Title: Childcare Cook

Early Childhood Education Start Up is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Childcare Cook to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Job

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented cook who will prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children in our centers. Your work will ensure our children have the fuel they need to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks that meet the nutritional needs of young children.
  • Assist with daily center duties as needed, such as cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Practice food safety and handling procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal of food and chemicals.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our children.
Requirements
  • Certifications: ServSafe Certification and/or Food Handlers Certification.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting as a cook.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Basic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Shift: Ability to work part-time from 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday.
