Job Summary

Canyon Creek Memory Care Community is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our community's buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, and appliances as needed to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by performing daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the appearance of our community's grounds, including mowing, pruning, and watering plants, and removing trash and debris.
  • Utility Management: Monitor and manage utility usage to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or natural disasters, to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of our facilities team to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, as well as experience with cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
