Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of maintenance personnel to ensure that production machinery, equipment, and facilities are functioning efficiently and safely. This role includes monitoring the maintenance team and assisting in diagnosing equipment failures and implementing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the maintenance of various equipment including injection molding, blow molding, and packaging machinery.
  • Manage the activities of the maintenance department and approve preventative maintenance documentation.
  • Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Build and lead high-performing mechanical and preventative maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for installations and projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer deadlines.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff, addressing any disciplinary issues in conjunction with HR.
  • Oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to boost shop efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve operational challenges, assisting team members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare justifications for capital equipment investments aimed at improving quality and reducing costs.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect necessary materials.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this role.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • 4 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • 4 years of experience managing projects and personnel.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • 6 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • 6 years of experience managing projects and personnel.
