We are actively seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor who will report directly to the Plant Manager. This individual will be tasked with the strategic planning and management of the maintenance team. The role encompasses the comprehensive upkeep and maintenance of the facility, ensuring the optimal performance of all electrical and mechanical systems.

A technical degree or an associate's degree along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or experience in a business system-oriented environment is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Reducing equipment failures or interruptions in production by establishing a proactive maintenance and inspection schedule.
  • Conducting routine evaluations and audits to verify the proper operation of machinery, as well as adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Optimizing labor efficiency and effectiveness. Developing training initiatives as necessary to enhance employee capabilities.
  • Actively identifying and proposing operational enhancements to boost quality, increase production efficiency, and lower costs. Promote a culture of 'continuous improvement'.
  • Diagnosing and addressing work-related issues. Assigning suitable tasks and ensuring their completion. Recommending personnel adjustments when needed.
  • Maintaining departmental compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Formulating capital expenditure plans for the facility and collaborating with Operations and Management on equipment upgrades. Processing purchase orders for spare parts, maintenance supplies, and selected projects.
  • Engaging in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and fostering a Lean Culture within the plant.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Exemplifying leadership in safety and upholding company policies regarding Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and Lean Initiatives.

Qualifications include:

  • Robust electrical expertise.
  • High School diploma is mandatory.
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Maintenance Systems.
  • Background in a reliability-centered maintenance culture is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, gear systems, and motors.
