Construction Management Internship Opportunity

As a Construction Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced project management team and contribute to the success of our construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in identifying and qualifying subcontractors and vendors for assigned scopes of work.
  • Prepare and transmit bid packages and invitations to bid.
  • Receive and analyze received bids, and negotiate and award subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Participate in design review meetings and review and monitor design with particular attention to scope, cost changes, and constructability.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and cost codes for initial cost control reporting and updates labor cost reports and summary cost reports.
  • Work with the project team to prepare and update progress schedules, including short-term interval schedules.
  • Assist in planning construction operations and sequences.
  • Interact with the client, including correspondence, periodic reports, change order requests, submittal of pay requisitions, and response to client inquiries and directives.
  • Check, approve, and transmit submittals; maintain submittal control log; prepare and manage requests for information and maintain RFI log.
  • Assist superintendent with subcontractor coordination, safety, and quality management, and job site reporting and controls.
  • Assist in preparation of project close-out requirements, including unit cost history, operations and maintenance manuals, punch-list management, and agency inspections.
Requirements:
  • Student studying architecture, engineering, or construction management - or similar.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, including methods, engineering, equipment, technology, and safety.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
