Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, repair, and maintain a wide range of systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation systems. You will serve as the primary technical support contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze complex blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine installation needs. Utilize your expertise in electronics to interpret technical documents and troubleshoot equipment using advanced tools.
  • Operate systems to showcase equipment, commission new installations, evaluate performance, and diagnose issues. Develop and implement non-routine programming for various systems.
  • Maintain the highest standards of service to ensure that clients view us as their preferred service provider. Take ownership of on-site projects, focusing on safety, quality, and performance.
  • Provide tailored systems integrations, plan and execute system upgrades, conduct audits, and manage databases. Support various network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address unique operational challenges and warranty issues.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and company health and safety policies while employing strong troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment or software malfunctions.
  • Offer insights to management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and installation techniques, and contribute to business development activities.
  • Manage the technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets, including preparing project deliverables such as documentation, programming, and ongoing technical support.
  • Identify potential project risks and communicate them to relevant stakeholders, assisting in the development of strategies to mitigate impacts on costs and timelines.
  • Work closely with Project and Operations Managers to coordinate specific projects, oversee subcontractors, and recommend improvements in service quality.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance in testing and optimizing equipment performance. Offer performance feedback to management regarding team members.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Location: Candidates should be willing to commute as necessary.

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to thrive under pressure while addressing client needs proactively.
  • Technical expertise in building automation, fire alarm, and electronic security systems, with the ability to adapt processes to meet complex job requirements.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical skills, with proficiency in reading technical drawings and performing calculations as needed.
  • High level of computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office applications.

Education and Experience
