Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Fire Alarm Systems Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems, access control, and security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test fire alarm systems, access control, and security systems on new construction projects.
  • Inspect and service existing fire alarm systems, access control, and security systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and provide solutions to the service manager.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
  • Perform fire alarm inspections and prepare accurate paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a low/high voltage electrician is an asset but not required.
  • NICET Certification is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to run conduit and cable.
  • Knowledge of building and fire codes for inspection purposes.
  • Problem-solving abilities and customer relation skills.
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Perform the duties of a technician.
  • Make recommendations and provide feedback to management in the evaluation process.
  • Monitor, gather information, and prepare assigned technicians and technical reports.
