Job Summary:

The Network Systems Architect will work alongside the IT team to plan, install, update, and troubleshoot IT, network, and security infrastructure. This position will maintain a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network and coordinate with team members to ensure the timely and effective completion of IT helpdesk tickets. Additionally, this role will work with team members to implement and manage IT and cybersecurity projects for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Support, configure, and maintain networks, hardware, and system applications as needed.

Monitor network performance and process updates when necessary.

Provide strategic IT planning, including backup and disaster recovery, cybersecurity, monitoring, auditing, and compliance.

Set up user accounts, permissions, and password management.

Assist in the development and implementation of network policies and procedures.

Troubleshoot and resolve company and end-user support issues.

Ensure operational status of company computer systems and related third-party interfaces.

Follow all regulations, policies, and codes and comply with security and safety regulations.

Provide support and guidance to all team members and departments for IT-related projects and processes daily.

Develop, review, and implement technical design, construction, and delivery of company-wide technology solutions.

Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents. Use discretion in handling confidential information and follow all federal, state, and local laws and company policies for document control.

Optimize messaging platforms, including M365 Exchange and Microsoft Teams.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Acquired and demonstrated use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

Strong ability to accurately complete complex tasks efficiently and thoroughly.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software, Windows Client Operating Systems, Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, and Cloud Services such as Office 365, Azure, and AWS.

Experience with firewalls, internet VPNs, remote implementations, and configuration of hardware.

Proficiency in visual design tools, HTML, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills, including prioritization of tasks under strict deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

Strong customer service, interpersonal, verbal, written, and troubleshooting skills.

Professional certification/membership may be required within the first year of moving into this classification.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5 or more years' experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations.

Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
