Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Operations Manager to join our team at Allan Myers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Traffic Control Plans: Create and execute comprehensive traffic control plans to minimize disruptions to traffic flow and ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
  • Supervise Traffic Control Operations: Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of traffic control devices, including flaggers, traffic cones, and other safety equipment.
  • Monitor and Report on Traffic Control Activities: Conduct daily inspections of traffic control operations and prepare detailed reports on any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that traffic control plans are aligned with project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience and Education: A minimum of two years of experience in lane closure supervision, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • VDOT Intermediate Traffic Card: Possession of a valid VDOT Intermediate Traffic card is required.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
