HEALTHCARE SERVICES MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY:

The Healthcare Services Manager (HSM) serves as the primary administrative leader of the on-site health services department. The HSM is responsible for the execution of contract services and ensuring compliance with all aspects of the client agreement. This role includes recruiting and hiring personnel and overseeing the interview and selection process for contractual staff. Additionally, the HSM manages the site budget and develops an annual operational plan. Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with clients (administrators, supervisors, etc.) is essential to ensure customer satisfaction.

HEALTHCARE SERVICES MANAGER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a healthcare environment is required.
  • Must undergo initial and ongoing security clearance.
  • Experience in correctional healthcare is preferred.
HEALTHCARE SERVICES MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversees the healthcare delivery system and collaborates with other facility functions.
  • Manages the site budget and financial performance, providing timely and accurate reports to supervisors and/or corporate office.
  • Develops and supervises the operational plan for the facility.
  • Directs the activities of assigned staff.
  • Actively recruits new personnel.
  • Facilitates the interview process for potential staff, involving necessary colleagues (e.g., Director of Nursing) and departments.
  • Works with VitalCore Human Resources for the hiring and termination of all site staff, ensuring compliance with staffing commitments.
  • Coordinates and participates in the selection of Independent Contractors.
  • Ensures orientation and training for new VitalCore personnel, conducting or coordinating initial and annual training activities.
  • Ensures compliance with all VitalCore and applicable client systems and applications.
  • Coordinates the Medical Audit Committee and leads monthly meetings.
  • Ensures adherence to ACA and/or NCCHC standards, as well as VitalCore clinical services and administrative policies.
  • Collaborates with Hospital Administrators and external providers for service delivery outside the facility, negotiating third-party contracts when necessary.
  • Adheres to and enforces all safety and security policies, participating in applicable safety/emergency drills.
  • Follows and enforces security regulations, including management of keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations for all personnel, including peer reviews.
  • Attends required training and meetings.
