Part-time Sous Chef Manager

About the Opportunity:
AEG invites applications for a Part-Time Sous Chef position at the Greenville SC Convention Center. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards for quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position in an upscale banquet, hotel, or convention center setting. A state-issued Health Certificate and immunizations are required.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and experience in a variety of culinary settings.
The estimated salary for this role is $18-$22 per hour, plus benefits, including a 401(k) savings plan and matching.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities to ensure efficient and effective service
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items, adhering to strict standards for quality and presentation
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position with prior supervisory experience
- State-issued Health Certificate and immunizations
- Technical proficiency and experience demonstrating verifiable knowledge of food preparation methods
- Ability to positively interact with diverse personalities and effectively communicate
