Position Overview

We are in search of a proactive Acquisition and Program Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to enhance operational processes within the DASA DE&C. Your expertise will be crucial in facilitating well-coordinated projects, integrating diverse functions across departments, and ensuring the seamless execution of operational tasks. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to a dynamic environment where excellence is a priority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in exportability planning by collaborating with PEOs and representing the International Acquisition Directorate at ASARCs, CSBs, and similar forums.
  • Regularly liaise with ASA(ALT) senior leaders and PEO stakeholders to drive initiatives forward.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), identify trade-offs, draft problem statements, and create insightful presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Share analytical findings and facilitate discussions at ASARCs and CSBs to incorporate stakeholder perspectives before key decision-making meetings.
  • Draft relevant talking points for system reviews to engage DASA DEC leadership effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Tech Ops/TSFD, PEOs, LCMCs, SAMDs, and DASCs for coordination and problem resolution.
  • Provide timely information in response to taskers as requested by DASA DEC leadership.
  • Prepare materials that reflect the Army's weapons systems, capabilities, costs, schedules, and performance to support upstream requirements and modernization efforts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current Security Clearance (Secret level) is required.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a technical degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Experience in developing and utilizing Excel models for resource optimization or scenario analyses.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft documents and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective engagement with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead with influence to drive progress and resolve issues at peer and AO levels.
  • Critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to anticipating needs.
  • A curiosity and learning mindset to expand knowledge of programmatic and system-specific information.
  • Preferred experience includes program office support for Army acquisition programs and knowledge of the Army's Acquisition and Security Assistance Enterprise.
  • Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Army Acquisition Officer for a major weapons system.
  • Experience as an Army Product Manager or Assistant Product Manager for a major weapon system.
