Job Title: Mission Planning Responsible Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Mission Planning Responsible Engineer to join our team of talented professionals. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mission planning architectures, performing hardware/software integration and testing, certification and requirements analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mission planning architectures
  • Perform hardware/software integration and testing, certification and requirements analysis
  • Trade studies, documenting architectures, analyzing performance, and evaluating Technology Readiness Level (TRL)
  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate mission planning solutions to meet platform mission objectives
  • Developing supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of work
  • Building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection
  • Review documents from the supplier's development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering
  • Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Top Secret Security Clearance (needed to start)
  • Demonstrated experience in mission planning development for military aircraft weapon systems
