Job Overview

A Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that guest accommodations are clean, inviting, and well-maintained. This position involves daily servicing of guest rooms and public areas, adhering to the hotel's established protocols. Responsibilities include restocking supplies, changing linens, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly and service-oriented approach towards guests and team members.
  • Regularly attend work as per the hotel’s scheduling requirements.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • Engage in deep cleaning activities as needed, which may involve disassembling furniture or items in guest rooms.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in the hospitality industry or a related field. Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills are essential. The ability to convey information clearly and evaluate options quickly is necessary, as is the capacity to perform well under pressure.
